ABA Therapy

What is ABA/VBA?

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is the science of behavior which systematically applies the principles to improve socially significant behavior.  Through experimentation, the variables responsible for change in behavior are identified.  ABA utilizes research based techniques to bring about socially positive and meaningful change in behavior.  These techniques are used to increase appropriate behaviors and decrease maladaptive behaviors which interfere with learning and/or cause harm. It is a data driven approach to learning and has shown to be an effective teaching method for children with special needs, especially those with significant and intensive behavioral problems or those diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Verbal Behavior Analysis (VBA) is a language intervention strategy that is based on ABA philosophy and techniques of B.F. Skinner, the founder of Behaviorism, and can be a powerful approach to addressing the language deficits of children especially those on the Autism Spectrum.

We are Certified Providers for the ECHO Demonstration Project and the ECHO BASIC Program.  The Enhanced Access to Autism Demonstration is an enhancement to TRICARE’s Extended Care Health Option (ECHO) program for those beneficiaries with certain diagnoses for Autism Spectrum Disorders. This program allows reimbursement for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services rendered by an ABA Therapist/Tutor who is supervised by a Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) certified provider.  In the fall of 2012, we will be an Autism Waiver Provider as well.  For those clients where your insurance does not currently cover ABA therapy, we are happy to provide you with our private pay fees.More Info:
